Creating art is my passion, I've been told many times that my art is calming. I mainly use soft pastels but love to create art with various other mediums too. I am totally self taught.

Picture Box Shop came about because I wanted to create art in any way that I choose and to share it with you to make you smile, brighten your work space, your home and to add colour and fun to all your favourite home and lifestyle bits and bobs... I love to create art for your walls but it's also such fun to create art for those little things such as notebooks and greeting cards too.

I love the idea of environmentally friendly products and aim to include these options for you, as much as possible.

Bunnies in Pastel

When I painted the series of rabbit paintings I had so much fun, I couldn't stop laughing when I finished them, I enjoyed every minute of creating their cute funny faces, their (extremely) long whiskers, the enthusiasm and excitement was almost child like, who would miss an opportunity like that? I will definitely be creating more...

The Fine details

When I approach any of my paintings, it is with precision and it can easily take a whole day just in the preparation. The fine details are everything, the details on a face or on a dress. There will always be aspects of a painting that are more 'in focus' and aspects which are soft.. this is how we view the world around us and it is important to create this in a painting...

Signing a Painting

Before adding my signature to a painting I will leave it on my easel and view it in different lighting situations. It's important to me to see the painting as someone would in their own home, so it will live on my easel in my living room until I am totally happy. Then and only then I add my signature...

I have been approached many times to make my prints available through various other websites, however this is not my intention, all my paintings have been created with love and care and I have chosen my print company with the same amount of care, this way all the works that you will see on the Picture Box Shop website will be handmade and they will only ever be available here. That way they'll always be special pieces for your home, or as gifts, and that's how I want them to be... Special and Unique! This is my mission, and to bring them to you at prices that are affordable.
